Sony and Warner sue Anthropic over music training data
Sony Music Publishing and Warner Chappell sued Anthropic, chief executive Dario Amodei and co-founder Benjamin Mann in federal court in California. The publishers allege that tens of thousands of copyrighted songs were pirated to train Claude models and seek damages of as much as $150,000 per work, plus additional copying penalties.
