AI policy
Finite is transparent about its use of automation. This page explains where AI is involved.
Where AI is used
AI assists with clustering same-event articles, ranking, and drafting the short neutral summaries you read. Summaries are generated from source headlines and blurbs and always link to the originals.
Human review
Summaries are generated with AI from source material. finite is early-stage and does not yet have a formal step where a person reviews every summary before it publishes; we audit periodically and correct promptly when told. We will not claim human review that does not occur — and every story links to its sources so you can check it yourself.
Reducing hallucination risk
- Summaries are grounded only in the retrieved source text — not the model's general knowledge.
- We never fabricate names, numbers or quotes; disagreements between outlets are surfaced, not resolved.
- Every story links to its sources so readers can verify.
Your data & personalisation
Interest and region choices are stored in your browser (localStorage) and used only to order your brief. They are not tied to an account and are not sent to model providers. Article text is not associated with your identity.
