Microsoft caps Xbox cloud gaming and adds usage pricing
Microsoft will impose monthly time limits on Xbox cloud gaming subscribers as costs rise, with one report saying Ultimate users will receive 15 hours. The company is also introducing a pay-as-you-go option. The available RSS titles identify November as the changeover but do not provide full limits or pricing for every subscription tier.
Why it matters
Metering reduces a core subscription benefit and makes heavy cloud-gaming use more expensive.
