Anthropic unifies memory across Claude and Cowork
Anthropic has combined memory between Claude chats and Cowork sessions, according to five technology outlets. Saved information can now carry across both services, and users can allow Claude to generate memory topics. Anthropic said there is no option to keep their memories separate, although Claude Code remains outside the shared system.
Why it matters
Shared memory may improve continuity but creates new privacy and context-control tradeoffs for users.
