Yankees activate Aaron Judge after three-month injury absence

The New York Yankees activated three-time American League most valuable player Aaron Judge after he missed more than three months with a fractured rib. ESPN said the 34-year-old was cleared Monday ahead of Tuesday's game against the Colorado Rockies. The RSS blurb did not say whether he would immediately return to the starting lineup.

Why it matters

Judge's return restores a central hitter as the Yankees move into the final stretch of the season.
