US removes Syria from terrorism-sponsor list
The United States has removed Syria from its list of state sponsors of terrorism, the BBC and Al Jazeera reported. The Trump administration has developed ties with Syria’s new president, Ahmed al-Sharaa, a former militant linked to al-Qaeda. Syria called the decision historic and said it would support reconstruction after 14 years of civil war.
