US press groups sue Trump over paid access to Truth Social posts

· Updated

United States press groups sued President Donald Trump over the Truth API, seeking to stop him publishing official government announcements exclusively on Truth Social. Fortune reported that nearly a dozen firms already pay up to $100,000 a month for early access, and that economists and legal experts have raised insider trading concerns.

Why it matters

Paid early sight of presidential announcements would give subscribers a tradeable information edge over the wider market.
