Teen drops social-media addiction test case
A New Jersey teenager dropped a lawsuit accusing Meta, Google and Snap of contributing to social-media addiction, without receiving a payment, the New York Times and Techmeme reported. TikTok had previously settled her claims. The suit was one of nine major personal-injury cases that could expose large platforms to damages and design changes.
