Anthropic previews standard for AI-controlled hardware
Anthropic introduced the Model Hardware Standard, a research preview intended to give AI agents a common interface for controlling physical devices. The company plans to open-source the standard and says it could support manufacturing and scientific work. Reporting also notes the safety risks of giving models greater access to machinery.
